Auto-scroll bookmarklet

Long articles mean constant scrolling. This bookmarklet auto-scrolls the page so you can read without keeping your hand on the mouse or trackpad.

How it works

  1. Drag the link below to your bookmarks bar (or use the mobile steps).
  2. Open any long page and click the bookmarklet.
  3. Adjust speed with the slider at the bottom.
  4. Click or tap the page to pause or resume.
  5. Use Stop Auto-Scroll at the top to quit.

Mobile users might not be able to drag and drop the link to their bookmarks bar. Instead, you can do this -

  1. Copy the code by tapping the button below.
  2. Create a new bookmark on your mobile browser, give it a title like ‘Auto-Scroll’ and paste the code in the URL of the bookmark.
  3. Whenever you want to auto-scroll a page, go to your bookmarks and tap on this bookmark.
