The big challenge with the GoComics image extraction bookmarklet is that some of the images on GoComics are in the gif format. And posting images in this format is not possible in messengers like WhatsApp.

So, the only way around that was to create an extension which would convert the image to png format and then download.

This extension extracts the image, converts it to png format and then downloads it.
